2026-2027 Virtual Courses

Join us this fall and through 2027 for one or more of these virtual professional development sessions from Safe & Civil Schools. Presented by Jessica Sprick.

This six-session course (18 hours) will help anyone tasked with tackling absenteeism problems—administrators, counselors, attendance clerks, etc. Explore ways to boost whole school attendance with universal approaches and intervene with students who are chronically absent.

A well-designed coaching program is key to supporting classroom teachers as they implement what they learn in professional development training. This course (15 hours) covers how to build a schoolwide program for implementing proven, research-based classroom management practices through coaching.

Four 3-hour sessions (12 hours) focus on designing effective interventions through an evidence-based model that guides problem-solving for individual students. Participants will also learn about specific interventions that have a proven record of success.

Broken into six 2-hour sessions, this CHAMPS/Discipline in the Secondary Classroom course (12 hrs.) will help participants reflect on and complete a classroom management plan that will improve the behavior and motivation of all students in their classroom.
