The Third Quest is a program for struggling older readers. Through a balance of narrative fiction and informational text, intrigue and mystery engages students as they travel through ancient history. Comprehensive lessons build word recognition skills, vocabulary, content knowledge, comprehension, fluency and study skills.
The Third Quest’s Parallel Universe Season 1 by Marilyn Sprick, McKenzie Meline, Barb Robillard and Ann Watanabe
Forty-one lesson videos guide a student and coach as they systematically build a strong foundation for reading well. At home, family members can guide one-to-one lessons effectively. At school, staff members can guide small group instruction and tutorials. The Third Quest and the Parallel Universe can be used independently or together to strengthen the intervention.
