Tax Exemption Process

If you reside in one of the states in which we collect sales tax (Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah. and Washington) and are exempt from paying the tax, you will need to provide your certificate of exemption before you can place tax-exempt orders through this website. STEP 1. Create an account.

If you already have an account at, click here to to log in using the box at left. Enter your email address or user name and password. If you don’t remember your password, select Lost your password? and a temporary one will be sent to the email address associated with your account.

To set up a new account at, click here. Under Register, enter your email address and press the Register button. Your account will be created and you will be logged in automatically. You’ll also receive an email with your user name and password for future reference.

STEP 2. Register as tax exempt.

Once you are logged in to your account, select Tax Exemption from the menu at left.

Complete the fields on the Tax Exemption page.

  • If your certificate does not have an expiration date, just enter a date in the future.
  • Your certificate must be in PDF format to upload successfully.
  • If you choose Educational Organization for the Exemption Type and the exemption doesn’t take, you may need to try State Government instead.

Once the form is complete, click on the Update button. Your Tax Exemption status should update to Approved, and you should be able to complete your order.

STEP 3. Complete your order.

Once your tax-exempt status is approved, the sales tax should appear as zero on the Checkout page when your order is processed.
